Recent clients
Camden Council
Camden Council asked all people who live in Camden to give their views
on proposals about the future development of Camden care homes. The Council
wanted to ensure that people with dementia currently living in their care
homes could be involved in the consultation process.
We worked with 79 residents with dementia over 3 months to help them to
express their views, wishes and concerns about future care homes.
Metropolitan Police
The Metropolitan Police commissioned us to devise and deliver training
in dementia for specialist officers working with vulnerable adults. Training
courses started in January 2008 and will continue throughout the year.
Pictures to Share
Pictures to Share produces high quality illustrated books for people with
dementia. Pictures to Share wanted to ensure the images included in their
books were engaging and interesting for people with dementia.
We worked with 36 people with dementia in care homes and day centres to
choose images for two new pictures books – 'The Seaside' and 'It’s
A Funny Old World.'
We were able to report to Pictures to Share about the best style, colour
and content of pictures. We also provided recommendations about ways to
use the books with people with dementia.

Accessible information for people with dementia
We have worked with a range of clients including On Medica (providers
of medical resources and education for GPs and health professionals) and
Class Publishing (publishers of “Alzheimer’s and other dementias:
answers at your fingertips”).
We provide support about the best ways to write for an audience made
up of people with dementia.
Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP)
CSIP have been involved in the development of the forthcoming national
dementia strategy. They organised a series of ‘listening and engagement’
events to hear what people thought should be in the dementia strategy.
We carried out consultations with individuals and groups of people with
dementia to make sure their views were included in the development of
the strategy.
