Since 2010 Steve's work in this area has included :
Collating the views of people with dementia about dementia friendly communities
Working with Nada on "Dementia Capable Communities: The views of people with dementia and their supporters February 2011" for the department of Health.
Developing a toolkit for use at a local level
Leading our work for the Local Government Assocation which culminated in "Creating Dementia Friendly Communiites - Guidance and Learning for Local Authorities" . This report includes a "toolkit" to support the development of dementia friendly communities at grassroots level. It has been widely adapted for use across the UK and overseas.
