Innovations in Dementia provides a range of high-quality training opportunities tailored to suit the needs of your service.

These can range from a single day’s introductory training to more specialised courses in communicating with people with dementia or understanding challenging behaviour for those working more intensively with people with dementia.

Here’s the outline of a typical single day course.

This course would be suitable for those working with a client mix which might include people with dementia.

Those working more intensively with people with dementia will require more in-depth courses.

By way of example, a more advanced day course on communication would typically cover:

Charges

Nothing can be more infuriating than to get to this point, to be thinking that you may be in need of our services, and then to be given absolutely no indication of how much this may cost you.

Even more infuriating is to see the phrase 'prices on application.'

Steve's fees are £330 for a day's training. This includes an initial consultation of up to four hours, course notes and certificates for up to 20 participants, and travel costs within a 100-mile radius of Exeter. If you are more than 100 miles from Exeter, please contact Steve about additional expenses.

For courses which require additional preparation and development time, there will be an additional charge of £40 per hour. In most instances, Steve will give you an estimate of the maximum number of hours the work will take. If the work takes longer than estimated you will only be charged the maximum rate, if less then you will be charged per hour.
